About this event
Explore a world of Indian home cooking over an Indian afternoon tea, with Flyover Fritterie founder Gunjan Aylawadi, MasterChef Australia's Depinder Chhibber, and comedians Suraj Kolarkar and Jennifer Wong.

Join us for a chat show about a shared love of Indian food and cooking, with conversations about how food, comedy, and culture influence each other, all while you enjoy chai and chaat.

Chaat (which literally means 'lip-smacking'), are small snacks sold on the streets of India: typically tangy, sweet, sour, and spicy, with plenty of texture and crunch, like aloo tikki and samosas.

Lovingly prepared by Gunjan and the Flyover Fritterie team, the big bold flavours of these chaat will transport you to the no-name food stands under the overpasses (flyovers) of bustling Indian cities.

Expect origin stories involving onion bhaji, plenty of laughs, and much daal-iciousness.

Tamarind soda

Coconut lime daal khichiri: masoor lentil, basmati rice, quinoa, black chickpeas, house tamarind chutney, coconut crunch (GF, vegan)

Onion bhaji: crispy onions fried in chickpea flour batter (GF, vegan)

Sea salt besan ladoo: chickpea flour, ghee, cardamom, black pepper (GF)

Traditionally brewed ginger cardamom chai, served hot with full cream milk (soy alternative available)
