Join Jennifer Wong and friends for a pun-filled, jam-packed morning chat show... with cake! With special guests comedian Tommy Dean (ABC Sydney’s TGIF!), master pastry chef Christopher Thé (Hearthe), and more!
In this special morning tea edition of FEAST, comedian Jennifer Wong plays chat show host to welcome you and her funny, food-obsessed friends around the kitchen table: comedian Tommy Dean, and master pastry chef Christopher Thé. (A third guest will be announced soon!) Enjoy baked delights from Christopher’s Hearthe Cake Shop & Cafe, while Jennifer and guests share food stories, hot takes, and hot cakes (hot in the wow sense; cakes will most likely be served at room temperature). Discover the food-loving side to comedian Tommy Dean (ABC Sydney’s TGIF!), who was dry-brined in US comedy and culture before being slowly braised in Australian humour for the last 33 years. He'll even reveal how he once placed third in a CWA baking competition with a family recipe.Go behind the scenes with master pastry chef Christopher Thé, who trained in fine dining restaurants including Bel Mondo, Claude's and Quay, before opening Black Star Pastry in 2018 and creating the Strawberry Watermelon Cake aka "the most Instagrammed cake in the world". After selling Black Star Pastry, Christopher opened Hearthe in Stanmore, and he’s recently published his first book: Modern Australian Baking (available for sale and book signings on the day).
