Shakespeare sits amending his will, when his Muse materializes. "Why are you here?" he barks. “I’ve come to prove you wrote those plays," she responds, with an enigmatic smile.
Amidst his costume and prop-strewn attic, Will amends his will to protect his daughter Judith's inheritance from her rapscallion new husband. To his chagrin, his Muse magically materializes. "Why are you here?" “She points to the audience. “I’ve come to prove to them you wrote those plays. “How?” “By getting you to reveal where you ‘signed them.’” "Signed them?" "Where you're in them." “Bugger off.” What follows is a heart-warming, at times tragic, often heated debate between them with the Muse hurling Will’s own lines in his face, to ultimately reveal the truth behind the man and his work, and to dispel the urban legends that he was not capable of creating works and somebody else must have written them.
