The Juliet Cycle

Using the contraceptive pill as our anchor, we will juxtapose Juliet's narrative with our stark realisations of poor choices from our youth, while we collectively consume the next cycle

Immersive and compelling, three performers represent the arc of womanhood as they examine threads of archetypal Juliet's psyche, and juxtapose her narrative with their memories of using the contraceptive pill as we collectively consume the next cycle. Join us for a exploration of liveness, self-reckoning, and raw confession. No cycle will be the same.

An experimental and community-building event, some audience members will be encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable, as led by our performers.

Conceived and directed by Emma Whitehead, creator of 'in/finite SOL.' (2023 Sydney Fringe Festival Award Finalist - Best in Immersive and Interactive).

Developed as part of Sydney Fringe Festival x The Ethics Centre Artist Residencies 2024.
